Convenience stores are usually built for speed. This one is built to make you enjoy
In Kaohsiung Taiwan, this character-themed 7-Eleven turns a simple stop into a small moment of joy.
From the first glance, you’re surrounded by Piske and Usagi — and the design is so consistent that it doesn’t feel like a store that added a theme. It feels like you’re stepping into their world, with a 7-Eleven quietly operating inside it
The storefront sets the mood instantly
The experience starts before the door.
The facade is wrapped in soft pink tones and playful character art, and you immediately know this is not a standard convenience store. Outside, a big Usagi statue welcomes you like a cheerful greeter, holding a drink and turning the entrance into a photo spot
Step inside and go left: the rest area is the star
The best surprise is waiting on the left. Instead of the usual small seating corner, you find a huge gorgeous seating area that feels like a character café space. Pastel decorated tables, character faces on the chairs, and cute ceiling decorations create a soft, warm and inviting atmosphere
And honestly, it feels as cute as the seating area in the Kanahei-themed 7-Eleven in Taipei — the same kind of spot where you suddenly want to sit down, slow the pace, and enjoy the setting, even if you only came in for a drink – it is also a must have in Taiwan

On the right: checkout and hot food, still on-theme
On the right side, you get the practical core of any Taiwanese 7-Eleven — the checkout and the hot food area
Yet the magic doesn’t disappear. The colors, striped designs, and character touches continue here too, which is what makes the experience feel seamless
Deeper in the store: the universe continues along the shelves
Walk deeper and you’re back into the classic Taiwan 7-Eleven rhythm: snacks, drinks, quick meals as well as daily essentials.
Still, the character universe stays present through the decor and they even come with some time line and more character presentations
So Cute You’ll buy a Souvenir
Merchandise is part of the experience too. You keep spotting character goods as you move through the store, mixed into the journey like little surprises.
There is a dedicated “shop” style area that feels closer to a small boutique shelf than a typical convenience-store add-on, and it makes browsing feel like a treasure hunt
Conclusion
Because Taiwan has one of the highest convenience-store densities in the world — and Kaohsiung is no exception — brands have to stay creative to stand out, and themed locations like this are the result.
This one is among the cutest, even compared with Taipei’s best, and it reaches the same “must-see” level as standout themes like Bugcat Capoo or Snoopy.
If you’re in Kaohsiung, it’s absolutely worth a stop for the atmosphere alone — the kind of 7-Eleven that turns a simple errand into a genuinely fun experience.
